Design of Rigid Pavement for Oke- Omi Road, Ibadan, Nigeria

Rigid pavements are often preferred to flexible types due their higher durability and ease of maintenance also reduce early road failure increase its longevity. This study redesigned a deteriorated segment Oke-Omi pavement as rigid pavement. The thickness was derived using the American Association State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) design method. California Bearing Ratio 48.43% which shows subgrade strength adequate. computed Estimated Single Axle Load (ESAL) for both base year projected 6.74x106 100x106 single axle process yielded 240 mm 380 (2017) (2037) adequate designed road.
